Stellantis uses surplus plants in Europe as leverage in a fight with Rome

Stellantis’ capacity utilization rate at its European factories stood at 56 percent last year, well below the 80 percent rate automakers traditionally aim for and could give it leverage in Italy, where it is the largest domestic automaker.
