Calgary judge rules dealership not at fault for BMW customer’s motor oil purchase, subsequent engine problems

A parts customer who bought oil not recommended by his vehicle’s manufacturer cannot pursue a negligent misrepresentation claim against the Calgary dealership that sold him the oil, an Alberta judge has ruled.
