NHTSA opens safety probe into Kia Sorento crossovers after reports of engine failure

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation said it received 13 complaints alleging incidents of power loss in 2016-17 Kia Sorento vehicles equipped with 3.3-liter engines, referred to as “Lambda II.”
